KARACHI: An eyewitness identified on Saturday Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) worker Obaid K2 as the alleged killer in Fahim Farooqui murder case, Express News reported.

Obaid K2 was identified early morning in an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi.

Meanwhile, another MQM worker Syed Maroof was also sentenced to life imprisonment for possessing explosive materials.

Police arrested the convict during a raid conducted in Mehmoodabad area in 2014.

Earlier, MQM activist Saulat Mirza was also scheduled to be executed on March 19 in Mach, Balochistan for murdering Shahid Hamid, the managing director of the then Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC), his driver Ashraf Brohi and guard Khan Akbar in July 1997.
