Talking points: QWP, a true representative of Pukhtuns: Sherpao
"Pukhtun nation has given sacrifices for peace but has never been rewarded in return"
PESHAWAR:
Addressing workers at a public meeting, QWP provincial chairperson Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao said implementation of National Action Plan will bring peace in the country.
The meeting was held in the constituency of PK-8 on Friday. Sherpao added the Pukhtun nation has given sacrifices for peace but has never been rewarded in return.
The Gwadar-Kashgar economic corridor, he said, is of great importance for the people of K-P who would get employment opportunities if the corridor passes through K-P first instead of Punjab. He criticised the PTI-government, saying it left resources unutilised, such as the Annual Development Programme funds that lapsed last year because of poor policies.
Sherpao maintained QWP is the true representative of Pukhtuns and will always be ready to give sacrifices for the rights of the nation. He said his party would contest local government elections and will win a majority of the seats in the province.
