Over enmity: Man killed, boy injured outside hotel

SUKKUR: An influential man of the Umrani tribe was killed while a boy was injured when unidentified men opened fire at a hotel near Dodapur Naka, Jacobabad, within the limits of the Garhi Khairo police on Thursday. Some people were sitting at a hotel when three unidentified men arrived and opened fire. As a result, Shah Dino Umrani was killed on the spot and an employee of the hotel, Muhammad Hassan Umrani, was injured. The assailants managed to flee from the scene. The police shifted the body and the injured to Garhi Khairo Hospital. The injured was later referred to Larkana Hospital. According to sources, the man was killed over an old enmity between two groups of the Umrani tribe. Reportedly, the police raided some houses in the area and arrested a few suspects.
