Ahmed Iqbal’s century aided KPT in putting up a good first-innings total of 397 in reply to K-Electric’s (K-E) 393-8 on the second day of the Patron’s Trophy Grade II’s semi-final at the National Stadium of Karachi on Wednesday.
KPT resumed their innings on 6-0 on day two and added 391 runs to their total for a loss of eight wickets as Iqbal hit five boundaries and a six on his way to an unbeaten 114 runs hit off 152 balls, with Raza Ali Dar and Baber Rehman scoring 93 and 76 respectively.
Faraz Ahmed and Shahzeb Ahmed took three wickets each for K-E.
At the end of play, K-E were batting on 57-0 after 10 overs with Behram Khan on 26 and Ramiz Raja on 28, leading KPT by 53 runs.
