LAHORE: Home Couture, a premium brand of furniture and interiors and MAHGUL, a popular fashion label, collectively brought forward their Spring/Summer ‘15 collections in a one-day lifestyle exhibition at the Home Couture flagship store in Lahore on April 4, according to a press release.

The furniture brand is aimed at crafting timeless pieces of furniture inspired by historical classics. It serves its ideology that such furniture acquires heirloom and vintage status. What started as a hobby with exhibitions, under the brand name F&S Furniture has grown to house its own standalone store and showroom in Lahore.

Home Couture exhibited its ‘Celestial Gold’ collection. It is inspired by mystical literature which gives a reflection of this world as Paradise through different detailed elements. It pays a tribute to elements of sacred geometry that involves a natural canvas, based on blue, coral and the divine gold. It also includes refined hand carved pieces, hand inlaid with natural materials.

MAHGUL was first introduced as a diffusion project titled ‘Mahgul for Nasreen Shaikh’ in 2013. Since its PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week debut, the brand has held various trunk shows in Karachi and Lahore. The brand also made its bridal wear debut at the prestigious PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week in 2014. Currently, it has a studio in Lahore for formal, bridal and luxury prét appointments. It also has stocks at Ensemble, PFDC and FPL.

Creative director Mahgul Rashid incorporated bright and pastel hues with custom designed embroideries in casual and semi-formal wear to interpret this season’s trend. It derived its inspiration from Oriental and European influences. Limited edition prints, ranging from structured geometrical to whimsical aesthetics, were exclusively displayed at the exhibition.

The event was attended  by Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the PFDC Sehyr Saigol, fashion designers, make-up artists, stylists, musicians and entrepreneurs.
