Childcare: Day care centre set up
Cheema said 25 staff members had registered their children with the facility
A three-room modern day care centre has been established at Lady Willingdon Hospital’s nursing hostel, Medical Superintendent Zafar Yousaf said on Sunday. He said trained staff had been deployed at the centre to provide homelike atmosphere to children. The staff includes a manager, a teacher, three supervisors, an aaya [babysitter] and a security guard, Yousaf said. He said CCTV cameras had been installed at the centre for security. Zaiullah Cheema has been appointed focal person for the centre. Cheema said 25 staff members had registered their children with the facility that would operate from 7:30am to 3:00pm. He said its timings would be increased in the next phase to facilitate the evening staff. “The facility is part of our efforts to provide better working environment to doctors, nurses and paramedics,” he said.
