Unidentified assailants open fire on vehicle of security forces in Jangal Khel area

KOHAT: At least four people, including two policemen, were injured in an attack on a police van in Kohat, Express News reported Saturday.

Unidentified assailants opened fire on the vehicle of the security forces in Jangal Khel area.

Soon after the incident, the injured - who were in critical condition - were shifted to a nearby hospital.

On March 27, two policemen were also shot dead in the suburbs of Gilgit. The cops were not in uniform when they were attacked, an official said.

Preliminary investigations revealed the policemen were killed over a personal enmity.
