Judicial complex inaugurated in DI Khan

Chief Justice Miankhel warns govt employees will not be given preferential treatment

DI KHAN: A judicial complex was inaugurated in Daraban, DI Khan by Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel on Friday.

During the ceremony, Chief Justice Miankhel said justice is delivered when speedy action is provided at the doorstep without having the plaintiff to pay a hefty amount for it.

He added the judiciary is responsible for delivering justice to the public and the new judicial complex will do so.

In the initial stages, courts for the civil judge, magistrate and additional district and sessions judge will be set up. There will also be sub offices and residential quarters for judges.

District bar lawyers, judges and elders of the area were also present on the occasion.

After inaugurating the complex, the chief justice addressed the guests and said if a complaint is received against any government employee, be it a doctor or a police official, the judiciary will take action against the employee and might also take suo moto notice if need be. He added employees should be punctual and regular.

Justice Miankhel maintained lawyers, including those from DI Khan, have played a vital role to make the judiciary independent, hence they deserve to be lauded for their efforts.


Fifty kanals of land as well as the required funds were provided by the provincial government for the construction of the judicial complex.


DI Khan District Bar President Akhtar Hussain Quraishi also addressed the guests and said they will cooperate with the judiciary to make the city a better place.
