The men in green exited the mega event in the quarter-finals’ stage after losing to eventual winners Australia.
Pakistan started the World Cup on the wrong foot, losing their first two group matches to arch-rivals India and the West Indies respectively. After that, the team won four back-to-back matches against Zimbabwe, UAE, South Africa and Ireland to qualify for the last-eight, which they lost.
“The PCB’s newly-formed five-member World Cup ‘15 Review Group shall meet for the first time at the Gaddafi Stadium [in Lahore] on Friday morning,” read an official PCB press release.
“The five-member group consists of PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan, Chairman Executive Committee Najam Sethi, Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmad, Wasim Bari and Iqbal Qasim.”
