Khyaban-e-Amin were bowled out on 137 as Amir recorded impressive figures of 6-47 along with Bilal Asif taking three wickets, with Hussain Bukhari and Yasir Ajmal scoring 48 and 38 runs respectively for the losing side.
Earlier, Omar Associates had scored 276-5 in their first innings with the help of Fahadul Haq’s unbeaten 89 runs and Muhammad Waqas’ 76. Babar Khan and Majid Ali took three wickets each for Khyaban-e-Amin.
The match was decided on first-innings basis as there was no time to play the second innings for both teams after rain had washed out the first day of the three-day match.
“Khyaban-e-Amin was a tough team, but we were lucky as we were able to put up a good total,” Omar Associates’ captain Saad Nasim told The Express Tribune. “Amir bowled brilliantly and has made a good comeback.”
The other match between KPT and K-Electric was abandoned due to heavy rain during all three days of play in Sialkot. The match will be rescheduled by the Pakistan Cricket Board to decide the second finalist of the tournament.
The winners of the final will be promoted to the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Silver League.
