Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi who failed to get Pakistan its ‘Mauka’ to win the World Cup this year, caught on the trend of singing the viral song on a private TV channel show.

The advertisement campaign that went viral during the World Cup season poked fun at Pakistani fans for not being able to celebrate a single win against India in international tournament. The campaign later lampooned other teams as well, including UAE and Bangladesh.

Though Pakistan barely managed to enter the quarters, India had registered seven wins before losing to Australia in the semi-final. The friendly rivalry got a bit out of hand towards the end because of the ad, hearts were broken regardless on both sides of the border and India and Pakistan had to book early flights home.

The video of Shahid Afridi singing the popular jingle originally appeared on NDTV, and can be viewed there.

Naren | 9 years ago | Reply @Ali S: No dear, we are not hating it. We are appreciating the talent who made this ad, which can frustrate its opponents.
Ali | 9 years ago | Reply @Ahmed: No team would risk playing a decent all-rounder for 20 years in order to prove the point that you want to make (against afridi). There is more to Afridi (as nicely put by Hilarious above) for sustaining his career than mere statistics. Dont be a slave of mere statistics; keep your prejudice aside and reflect on what Boom Boom has offered to cricket.
