KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has ordered for the removal of security barriers opposite former president Asif Zardari’s residence, Bilawal House in Karachi, Express News reported.
Shah gave these orders after meeting Zardari at the Bilawal House on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Bilawal House spokesperson, immediate removal of barriers has been ordered.
Sources say DG Rangers in a recent high-level security meeting had ordered the removal of security barriers from the House, as part of the city-wide campaign run by the paramilitary force.
Earlier, a notification by the Sindh home department was issued that barricades across residences of former presidents shall not be removed for security reasons.
