Katrina Kaif to return with ‘Raajneeti’ but without Ranbir Kapoor
The sequel will look at the recent power shift in India and Indu embracing the position of a Chief Minister
Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, is all set to return in Raajneeti 2, but will not co-star with love interest in the first movie and in real life, Ranbir Kapoor, reported The Indian Express.
In an earlier interview, director of the political background film, Prakash Jha confirmed Katrina’s presence in the sequel of the 2010 movie, but he was unsure of Ranbir’s role.

In Raajneeti 2, Ranbir's character Samar Pratap Singh leaves India after a messy succession battle which ends with the death of his partner causing him to stay away from politics.
The climax of Raajneeti revealed that Indu, a reluctant entrant into politics that time, was pregnant with her deceased husband Prithviraj Pratap Singh’s (Arjun Rampal) child. The sequel will focus on her journey.
While Raajneeti borrowed its plot from Sonia Gandhi’s entry to politics, the sequel will look at the recent power shift in India, beginning with Indu embracing the position of Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.
