Gunned Down: Two women killed in separate incidents

PESHAWAR: A man reportedly gunned down his sister and her alleged lover in Phase-1, Hayatabad on Saturday. Police said Tayyab Khan shot dead his sister Taj Bibi and her alleged lover Mir Zaman over ‘honour’. “The accused is a resident of Kurram Agency. The deceased boy is a resident of Kabal, Swat but was residing in Hayatabad,” said a police official. He added an FIR has been registered against the accused. In a separate incident, a woman was shot dead by unidentified men as she was commuting in a rickshaw in Yakatoot on Saturday afternoon. Police said Sadia, wife of Rafiq, a resident of Wakho Pul, was with another woman when the three-wheeler they were in was ambushed. Sadia died on the spot while the other woman was critically injured and consequently rushed to Lady Reading Hospital. “Initially, the injured woman refused to lodge an FIR and was not telling anything to the police,” said a police official deployed at LRH.
