An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Islamabad has summoned Pervez Musharraf on April 10 in the judges’ detention case.
While expressing dissatisfaction over the respondent’s continuous absence, ATC-II judge Sohail Ikram on Friday told the former president’s counsel to submit a medical report along with the exemption application at the next hearing.
The directions came in response to Special Public Prosecutor Aamir Nadeem Tabish’s objection that the counsel had submitted the exemption plea without a medical reason. The court, however, granted the exemption for Friday’s hearing over the counsel’s assurance that he would submit the medical record at the next date.
In the Abdul Rashid Ghazi murder case, surety bonds worth Rs100,000 were submitted on behalf of Musharraf against bailable warrants issued earlier this month.
