PESHAWAR: Khushal Youth Organization (KYO) on Thursday demanded the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan probe alleged irregularities and violation of merit at Khushal Khan Khattak University (KKKU) in Karak. A news conference was held at Peshawar Press Club with members of KYO in attendance. “Not a single vacancy at the varsity has been advertised since 2012,” said KYO member Ijaz Ali Khan, blaming the administration for nepotism. Khan said the organisation has learnt that employment records of several officials—including the vice chancellor, registrar and treasurer—are missing from KKKU records. The KYO president said authorities have been violating rules of procedure by handing out extensions to all hired employees and usurping the rights of deserving candidates. He urged Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to investigate the recruitment process and take action against the KKKU administration.
