RAWALPINDI: On behalf of President Mamnoon Hussain, General Rashad Mahmood, the chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, conferred Civil Awards upon the eminent scientists and engineers working in the PAEC, KRL, NESCOM, SUPARCO and Strategic Plans Division for their meritorious services at the investiture ceremony held at the JSHQ on Wednesday. Five Sitrara-i-Imtiaz, 12 President’s Award for Pride of Performance and 8 Tamgha-i-Imtiaz were awarded at the ceremony. The recipients of Sitara-i-Imtiaz were Imran Iqbal, S Shadab Fatima Kamal, Muhammad Arshad, Ihsan Ul Haq, Dr Sajid Raza Chaudhry. The recipients of Pride of Performance were Khalid Bin Sattar, Maqbool Ahmad Ch Naseer Haider, Dr Arshad Munir, Muhammad Farrukh Iqbal, Dr Mureed Hussain, Brig Muhammad Waheed Khan, Dr Qazi Mateen Ud Din, Dr Muhammad Usman, Dr. Muhammad Anwar Mughal, Dr Fiaz Ahmad and Lt Col (retd) Shafqat Ali. The recipients of Tamgha-i-Imtiaz were Shahid Farooq, Syed Ahmed Hassan, Dr Anwaar Manzar, Mohsin Shehzad, Hafiz Muhammad Jafar, Col (retd) Asif Hassan, Lt Col Imran Amin Janjua and Khurram Ashfaq Qazi.
