Shaky structure: Two toddlers, their father die in roof collapse

Three people, including two young sisters, died after the roof of their house in Gawalmandi caved in on Tuesday. Police said that the roof of a three-storey house near Barafwala Chowk collapsed and seven people were buried in the debris. Rescue-1122 teams shifted the debris to get to the victims. They said three people buried in the debris had died before they could be rescued. The rest were taken to a hospital where doctors treating them said their condition was stable. Among the dead were Noor Fatima, 4, Dua Fatima, 3 and their father Akram Ali, 33. The roof of another house collapsed near Saeed Mittha Chowk on Tuesday. Four people were buried beneath the debris. They were taken to a hospital where doctors treating them said their condition was stable.
