Pakistan Day: Chinese president, premier send felicitations

Say Pakistan is an all-weather time tested friend of China

ISLAMABAD: Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang on Monday extended messages of congratulations to President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Pakistan Day.



In his message, the Chinese leader said, “I would like to extend, on behalf of the Chinese government and people as well as in my own name, warm congratulations and good wishes to the Pakistani government and people.”

Highlighting the bilateral ties between the two countries, he said that China and Pakistan were good neighbours, close friends, trusted partners and dear brothers.

“Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the two countries have set up all-weather friendship and carried out all-round cooperation,” the Chinese leader said in his message.



Similarly, Premier Li Keqiang said that “China-Pakistan relationship has withstood the test of time and become a model of harmonious coexistence and friendly cooperation among different countries.”

The premier also expressed the will to work along with Islamabad to push forward the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, and promote the China-Pakistan strategic cooperative partnership.
