Addressing the graduates at the passing out ceremony, Principal SP Tariq Mehmood said 400 new recruits were sent to the academy six months ago and they were trained in legal aspects, moralities, computer operations, anti-terrorism, judo and karate, swimming and drills.
According to Mehmood, the graduating constables would go on to join the force in their native districts of Peshawar, Chitral, DI Khan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat and Nowshera.
In his address, DPO Ejaz Khan said the province’s police was passing though a critical phase in its history, and is valiantly facing terrorists and giving sacrifices for the homeland. He added in spite of the many challenges, the force’s morale remains high.
The DPO urged the constables to exercise their legal power rationally and remain honest in their duty to protect the life, property and honour of citizens.
After administering oath to the newly-inducted cops, the DPO reviewed the passing out parade which presented him a salute.
Khan also distributed certificates among policemen who performed well in the training.
