Terrorists suffer serious setback in operation near Afghan border: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: The military provided an update of the ongoing Operation Khyber-I Operation on Monday, saying terrorists suffered a serious setback and large casualties during the operation Sunday night.

According to Director-General of the ISPR Asim Bajwa, significant effects were achieved in air strikes against terrorists, with militants fleeing Sokh, one of the central areas targeted in the operation.

While Pakistan Army forces are consolidating, Masatul Pass, which links Khyber Agency to the Afghan border and was being used by terrorists for movement to Afghanistan, has also been seized by the military, General Bajwa said.

"The noose around terrorists is being tightened," he added.
