Lmao | 9 years ago | Reply If the emir was coming today and half the cabinet was going to receve him, then why wasn't he made the chief guest for Pakistan day. What was the point of embarrassing the country with the Chinese president fiasco?
Dr.Shafique | 9 years ago | Reply Every time an oil-rich Sheikh (or Emir) arrives in Pakistan, we extend our begging bowl, asking them for help because we are internally bankrupt. We allow them to destroy our wild life with their lust for killing wild animals and birds. The crumbs they throw at us are quickly transferred to Swiss, Dubai or London bank accounts of individual politicians in power. What a shameful display of our greed, unscrupulousness, utterly corrupt and fraudulent behavior. When will Pakistan and Pakistanis learn to stand on their feet? This Emir of Qatar is amongst the worst offenders of human rights in the world and has been mocked and pilloried around the world as a corrupt ruler (read the FIFA manipulations). They export their stone-age thinking to countries such as Pakistan, but indulge in all the nonsensical activities within their palaces. Oil has brought them untold wealth but very little in terms of civilized behaviour.
