Pakistani pacer Wahab Riaz apologized to the fans for getting knocked out in the World Cup on the teams arrival at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore.

Riaz said, “I apologize on behalf of myself and the Pakistani cricket team,” while speaking at the airport to Express News.

When asked about the reason for their loss in the World Cup match against Australia, Riaz replied, “Australia played better than us.”

Wahab said the team tried its best to win the World Cup but it could not fully land on the expectations of the nation.

The blistering bowling spell against Watson was just to put “pressure” on Australia to take quick wickets and win the match. However there were some nasty short-pitched deliveries and sarcastic applauds followed by a kiss at one stage.

Watson in an interview said, “I was lucky to get through that spell.”
