ISLAMABAD:
Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman took over the command of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Thursday at a ceremony at PAF Headquarters in Islamabad, Radio Pakistan reported.
Speaking on the occasion, the outgoing Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt said defence of the country is the foremost priority of PAF.
He said the air force is playing a vital role in weeding out terrorism from Pakistan.
"PAF is being equipped with latest technology," Tahir added.
The Air Chief Marshal also said a number of steps have been taken during his tenure to enhance the capabilities of PAF.
"PAF is cooperating with other air forces around the world, " he further said.
He thanked the government for cooperating with PAF.
