Homicide: Man held for killing friend’s son

BAHAWALPUR:

A man was arrested in Hasilpur on Monday night for killing his friend’s son.

DSP Rao Naeem Shahid said the suspect, Muhammad Tariq, was currently under investigation. The FIR stated that he killed Noor Muhammad’s two-year-old son Muhammad Usman during a visit to their place. It said Muhammad had left the child in Tariq’s company and gone to the kitchen to get the guest a glass of water. The suspect had slit the child’s throat and fled the scene by the time Muhammad returned to the room, it added.

Tariq was caught by some neighbours from near Noor Muhammad’s house and handed over to the Saddar police.
