PESHAWAR: Hazara Farmers Association and All Pakistan Retailer Associations thanked Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar on Monday for ordering the formation of a committee to evaluate the recent proposal by the health ministry to increase tobacco health warning coverage on cigarette packs from 40% to 85%. This policy is feared to impact the livelihoods of nearly 325,000 farmers and retailers. The decision to form a committee came in response to a plan issued last month by state health minister Saira Afzal Tarar to increase health warnings on cigarette packs.
