Security forces recover IEDs from militants in Hangu, Kurram Agency

The arrested culprits were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation

HANGU: Security forces on Friday recovered three high intensity improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Hangu district and Kurram Agency.

Sources confirmed to The Express Tribune that security forces officials booked two wanted militants and recovered the explosives from them.

Further, the source said that each of the explosive devices weighed more than 20kgs each. IEDs like these are used to cause heavy destruction and reports suggest that they were supposed to target security officials in the area.

The arrested culprits were shifted to an undisclosed location for questioning. Their identities haven’t been disclosed to the media.
