Making a shift: Swabi University purchases land for new campus

The VC said the new campus would resolve all academic and administrative problems the university was facing.

Revenue department officers handed Dr Noor Jehan the official papers of the land’s transfer to the varsity.

The University of Swabi has obtained 1,401 kanals of land in Ambar near the Peshawar-Islamabad Interchange for the construction of its new campus.


A ceremony was held at the new site on Thursday in this regard. Vice Chancellor Dr Noor Jehan was the chief guest on the occasion, while local elites, landowners, university officials and academics were also in attendance.


Revenue department officers handed Dr Noor Jehan the official papers of the land’s transfer to the varsity.


Addressing the gathering, the VC said the new campus would resolve all academic and administrative problems the university was facing.


Highlighting the importance of education, Dr Noor Jehan said, “Education not only paves the way for progress and prosperity but also plays a key role in peace, which is essential for the country.”


She also urged locals to help the university’s administration in making it a world-class educational institution.
