Deadly encounter: Three ‘robbers’ shot dead

FAISALABAD:

Police announced on Sunday they had shot dead three robbers near Chak 237-RB.

Saddar SHO Muhammad Yousuf Shehzad said that the encounter had occurred near Khaddian Warraichan village late on Saturday night.

“A phone call was received at 3am about a group of robbers who had set up a picket near Roshanwali Jhall and were looting people. ASI Tariq Mehmood led a team to the area. They asked the robbers to surrender. However, they started firing at the police. The policemen returned fire. Three of the robbers  were killed in the shoot out.
