Girl power: Walking for womens’ rights
Around 60 people walked from McDonalds Sea View to Corniche point 2.

With a mission to protect womens’ rights, the women of Karachi and officials from the Sindh police held a walk on Sunday to celebrate International Womens’ Day. Around 60 people walked from McDonalds Sea View to Corniche point 2. The walk was arranged by United Nations Association of Pakistan (UNA) along with the Sindh Police. IG Sindh Ghulam Haider Jamali and AIG Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo, who led the walk, also joined the citizens UNA, Pakistan, senior vice-president Fozia Tariq said that these events have a significant impact. “We arranged this walk to remove the distance that lies between us — the citizens and the police,” she said.
