Nomenclature: Assembly approves new name for SU

HYDERABAD: The Sindh Assembly approved the new name for Sindh University’s campus in Bhitshah. Earlier known as the International University of Peace, Sufism and Modern Sciences (IUPSMS), Bhitshah, the varsity will now be called the University of Sufism and Modern Sciences (USMS), announced the vice-chancellor of the campus, Prof Dr Aslam Parvaiz Memon. He also said that after the change of the nomenclature of Sindh University’s Bhitshah campus, the chief minister had also approved funding of Rs50 million for the varsity.
