The participants, armed with coloured powder, spray guns full of coloured water and water balloons, partook in the acitivities to mark the religious festival.
"The essence of Holi is to celebrate colours with friends and family, which is what we wanted to share with our Muslim friends," said Ravi Kumar, spraying colours on his friends.

Secular Sindh Forum Chairperson Raj Kumar told The Express Tribune that the purpose of the event was to show the world that there was no discrimination in Pakistan.
Sohail Abro, one of the participants at the celebration, endorsed this expression of unity and asserted that Pakistan was a peaceful land to live in.
