The Islamabad High Court on Monday issued arrest warrants for an alleged frontman of the civic agency for his role in taking money from affected residents of Sector I-16.


The warrants for Sarwar Gondal, were issued on a petition filed by affected residents of Sector I-16, who have contended that though the Capital Development Authority (CDA) had compensated them, it later took back half the amount through Gondal.


IHC Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui, meanwhile, directed CDA to submit a detailed report on the issue.


Justice Siddiqui also reprimanded CDA representative Nadeem Abro observing that CDA has deputed touts for making compensation payments to affected residents.
