PESHAWAR:
An exhibition was held at a hotel to showcase crafts made by internally displaced persons (IDP) residing in camps in Kohat on Sunday. The displayed items were made by women trained by the Youth Resource Centre, a non-profit organisation which works for the welfare of communities. “The government is willing to support such skilled people,” said Federal Secretary for Education Ahsan Raja, appreciating the work displayed on the 19 stalls set up. “We have to provide psychosocial support, reproductive health services and impart vocational training to IDPs.” Project Director Umme Kulsoom said the initiative aims at promoting human rights with special focus on youth, women and children.
