Addressing the passing-out parade ceremony of the first batch of Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) in Quetta, the premier said the authorities should protect the nationals against the scourge of terrorism and no terrorist should be set free in any way.
“We have to root out terrorism from the country with tact” he added. Chief of Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif was also present at the parade.
PM Nawaz said the nation has to win the war against terrorism as it is about the well-being of future generations.
"The establishment of ATF in provinces is a manifestation of the government's firm determination against the menace," the premier said.
He added the force is being equipped with latest arms and weapons to enhance their capacity.
During the ceremony, Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch thanked the prime minister and Army chief for visiting the province.
The provincial government will provide assistance to Balochistan police in ending terrorism,” the chief minister said.
Baloch added the government will ensure that recruitment of police officials is based on merit.
