KARACHI: To celebrate Valentine’s Day, retail brand Sapphire recently held a ‘meet-and-greet’ with pop singer Annie Khalid at their flagship store at Dolmen Mall, Clifton. According to a press release, Sapphire is a combined venture between the Sapphire Group and fashion designer Khadijah Shah of Élan fame.

Inspired by the rich culture and heritage of the East, Sapphire’s ready-to-wear V-Day collection featured 10 designs on kurtas priced around Rs2,600, and embroidered kurtas for Rs4,000.

The collection boasts fun and vibrant aesthetics, which include multi-coloured floral designs and whimsical motifs. The line also incorporates the elegance of damask into its designs to give a contemporary feel with classical styles.

The store houses a series of products, which include readymade day-wear and unstitched printed fabric for women, scarves, a special formal range ‘Naqaash’, menswear line ‘Shikaara’, and jewellery line ‘Nigeen’ with a range of precious and semi-precious stones. With a price range starting from Rs2,200, Sapphire’s offerings exude diversity with dramatic designs and bold embroideries.

The event was attended by followers of both local fashion and music, who availed the opportunity to explore the brand’s designs and interact with Annie.
