Tremors: Earthquake strikes Shangla

SHANGLA: Various areas of the district were jolted by an earthquake on Saturday night. The intensity was recorded at 5.2 on the Richter scale. The tremors were felt in various areas of Shangla, including Besham, Alpuri, Puran and Chakisar. The epicentre of the earthquake was situated 82km deep in the border area of Tajikistan and Afghanistan. People were panic-struck and left their houses to come out in the open.
