Peshawar attack aftermath: Second day of cultural festival called off

KARACHI: The second day of the spring holidays cultural festival, being held at Amin House in Sultanabad was called off after the attack on a Peshawar imambargah. “We cancelled all of today’s activities in respect for the martyrs,” said Thespianz Theatre artistic director Faisal Malik on Saturday. The three-day festival will return today with its performances, although the literary sessions have been cancelled. The cultural dances will be followed by a concert by Pashto singer Zeek Afridi, who will perform for the first time in Karachi.
