Fighting corruption: NAB launches mobile awareness unit

The team will campaign against the menacing effects of corruption.

PESHAWAR: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) has launched a mobile awareness unit on corruption and its ill effects on society and the economy.

Aimed particularly at the youth, Bacha Khan Girls Degree College in Dheri Baghbanan on Kohat Road, in collaboration with NAB, organised a seminar on Thursday at its campus. This was followed by a walk against corruption.

NAB Awareness & Prevention Wing Director Mirza Mohammad Irfan Baig was chief guest. The NAB director, Bacha Khan Girls College Principal Shaheen Umar and provincial director higher education Noorullah Wazir also spoke on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the NAB director said upholding strong moral values would establish Pakistan’s credibility and were a prerequisite for a dignified nation. “Instead of cursing others and creating a hue and cry, it is better to contribute towards the betterment of society,” he concluded.
