Shah handed over the keys and documents for 40 houses in Khairpur to deserving women at a ceremony on Sunday. Nearly 4,500 houses are complete and 5,500 are under construction, he said.
“The government is focusing on women’s issues and has provided each female farmer with 25 acres so that they use them to start earning,” he added.
The Sindh Rural Support Programme is responsible for managing these low-cost housing societies.
Addressing the Anjuman-e-Tajiran, Khairpur, the chief minister said the hospital’s construction will finish within a year. Shah also inaugurated the Phool Bagh, renovated at the cost of Rs50 million in Khairpur district. The government is fulfilling Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s dream of providing the people with roti, kapra aur makaan, said Shah.
