Manchester. Following its £620 million acquisition by Bestway Group last October, the UK’s largest independent pharmacy chain is re-launching under the new name Well, marking the start of a £200 million injection by Bestway Group for an investment programme that will drive growth and create hundreds of jobs across the UK. There is a planned capital investment of £40 million per annum, with a major recruitment and expansion drive to support the growing demand for primary healthcare services in local communities. There will be capital investment in the renovation and relocation of existing branches, along with plans to acquire more pharmacies and invest in establishing a wholesale pharmacy business.
