The lawyer community took to the streets against the killing of two law practitioners in Tank city on Tuesday.

Unidentified men opened fire on Abdul Rehman and Yousaf Burki on Monday. Rehman died on the spot while Burki succumbed to injuries later. The protesters marched from Spin Masjid to Kashmir Chowk, blocking the link road connecting  DI Khan and South Waziristan Agency.

Led by Pirzada Jahangir Shah, Pir Ghafoor Shah, Adam Khan Advocate and Shah Fahad Advocate, civil society representatives and lawyers from all over the city attended the demonstration and chanted slogans against the government. The Tank Bar Association also boycotted legal proceedings in courts. During his address, Fahad termed the murders an act of terror and demanded authorities bring the perpetrators to justice.
