KARACHI: The Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) is set to go on strike from February 21 because of the traffic police’s misbehaviour. KTI chairperson Irshad Bukhari said that the traffic police officers insulted their bus drivers and conductors and charged them with more than the actual fines. He said they were often fined due to the bad condition of their buses. “How can our buses be in good condition when there is always a dharna or a rally in the city?” he asked. Transport secretary Taha Faruqi offered to mediate between the KTI and the traffic police.
