Gisele Bundchen is always the model of good taste in both her professional and private life. Apart from bagging the top spot on Forbes’ ‘World’s Highest-Paid Models 2014’ list, she revels in the relationship she shares with her husband and New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, In a recent interview with Vogue UK, Gisele shared how she knew from day one that they were going to be together, reported foxsports.com.
“I knew Tom was the one straightaway,” she told the magazine. “I could see it in his eyes that he was a man with integrity, who believes in the same things I do,” she added. Interestingly, Gisele and Tom were set up on a blind date by a mutual friend back in 2006. They tied the knot in 2009 and have two children together, five-year-old son Benjamin and two-year-old daughter Vivian. Tom also has a seven-year-old son with his former partner, actor Bridget Moynihan.
Gisele explained how she keeps her work separate from home. “I’m a model as a job, I’m Gisele, the daughter of Valdir and Vania, I’m a woman, I’m a model. When I go home and shut the door, that’s it. If I want to expose something, it should be my choice,” she shared. Tom recently won his fourth Super Bowl title with a win over the Seattle Seahawks, which Gisele took to Instagram to express her happiness over. “We are so proud of you daddy! Congratulations! #gopats #superbowl,” she posted on behalf of her children with a photograph of her and Tom.
As a person, the supermodel has a penchant for nature, and dreams of living in a tree-house one day, reported IANS. The 34-year-old said memories of running around on her grandmother’s farm in Brazil, as a child, have left her with the dream of living a similar peaceful life with her husband and children. “My earliest memory was going to my grandma’s house, milking cows and collecting the eggs from the chickens,” she said. “If I could choose, I’d be barefoot with animals all around me and living in a tree-house. Like Tarzan and Jane, that’s my dream. I’m at my happiest around nature.”
Gisele, who previously dated The Wolf of Wall Street star Leonardo DiCaprio, said she is planning to take a step back from her busy work schedule next year in an attempt to spend more time with her family. Insisting she has no plans to retire, she stated, “Not that I’m never going to work again, but I feel like there are periods to your life and priorities shift.” She added, “I started when I was 14 and, before that, I was just myself. Now, I have a family of my own. My family is my number one focus. I’m looking forward to what the beautiful future holds.”
