Addressing journalists at injured APS student Ahmad Nawaz’s house, Malik said more than 1,500 suspects have been arrested in several operations across the country under the National Action Plan formulated in the aftermath of the worst terrorist attack in the country’s history which claimed 150 lives, mostly of schoolchildren. The PM’s adviser was visiting Ahmad’s house to hand over passports to the family which has been issued visas by the British High Commission to travel to England for Ahmad’s treatment.
According to Malik, visas have been issued to the injured student, his parents and younger brother Umar Nawaz, and all other arrangements for the family’s departure to England will be finalised in a few days.
“The federal government will pay for all expenses incurred in Ahmad’s treatment in England and the visa period will also be extended if needed,” said Malik. The adviser later visited Ahmad at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) and enquired about his health.
Muhammad Nawaz, father of the injured student, told The Express Tribune he was thankful to the prime minister, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and PTI chief Imran Khan for extending support to his family.
Ahmad sustained bullet injuries to his arm in the December 16 carnage and has been admitted at LRH since. According to his father, doctors told him to shift Ahmad to another facility as his injuries cannot be treated at LRH.
Demanding court intervention
Parents and relatives of slain APS students have appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Nasirul Mulk to take suo motu notice of the December 16 tragedy. Addressing a news conference at Peshawar Press Club, member of the Shuhada Forum, Ajun Khan, said bereaved families will hold a rally on Saturday (today) from Aman Chowk near Gora Qabristan to APS to remember their fallen children.

Goof job NS. No wonder the nation supported you against the tyrant and his dharna. Keep doing good and prayers of the downtrodden are with you. The trip and medical treatment should have been financed by KPK but no they are busy plundering for they know the nation will not give them a second chance now. The federal government under NS has moved in to support/ finance treatment of this kid abroad. Next vote for PMLn
I wonder how you Mr. Nawaz Sharif monitor nothing?
PML N should just go to Punjab and arrest the masterminds, They all know them, now arrest them and punish them for killing over 150 Pakistani children and over 150 casualties of Shikarpur.
How come now no one is calling these Shaheed children a western plot to defame Pakistan and Islam? Remember what the same PML N did for Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai of Swat?
News for news, mian sb is a wrong number; his seriousness could be gauged just after having perceived ecstasy on his face with Imran khan in first press conference after incident
