The young victim - who was in critical condition - was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Charsadda right after the attack.
Sources confirmed that the van was carrying at least 12 students at the time of the incident.
According to the initial report, police said the miscreants wanted to target the van driver.
“Investigation is underway and a search operation is being conducted in the area to arrest the culprits,” a police official confirmed.
Just two days ago, a bomb disposal squad had defused explosives planted outside a government school in Bannu district of K-P.

Police were informed about the explosives planted outside Badshah Khan Government Primary School early morning, after which rescue personnel were dispatched to the area immediately.

The student must best treatment and District Hospital can do only first aid we know the condition of Govt Hospitals, she must be transferred to a good Medical centre in Islamabad. Also pray for her early recovery.
The attackers came from FATA which falls under the jurisdiction of the army and federal government. They perpetrated the crime in a military controlled area and went back to FATA. Hence we the KPK government absolve ourselves of all responsibility and reiterate that massive rigging took place in Punjab and we don't accept these assemblies.......
I hope the injured student receives the medical help and attention she needs. I hope she is not forgotten; we should not fall again into in the habit of forgetting these stories, or we haven't learnt anything from the APS tragedy.
