Poverty alleviation: KU awards PhD to Jabbar Khan
The PhD was awarded by senior minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro at KU’s recent convocation.
KARACHI:
The University of Karachi (KU) has awarded a PhD degree to senior journalist and neuro economist, Abdul Jabbar Khan, on his work on alleviation of poverty through communication, poverty gap index and poverty triggers with special reference to welfare state. The thesis for his research was supervised by Prof Dr Shafiqur Rehman, former chairperson of the economics department and the chairperson of the mass communication department at KU. The PhD was awarded by senior minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro at KU’s recent convocation.
