Earth Day celebrated across the globe

KARACHI: Earth Day is being celebrated across the globe, as the global community faces a wake up call on the increasing challenges and threats the earth is coping with.

Climate change legislation is a hot global topic and will serve as the focus of an all-star Earth Day rally in Washington DC.

Organisers of 19000 organisations in 190 countries hope to involve 1.5 billion people in the activities.

Among many other countries, events are being scheduled in Barcelona, Morocco, Buenos Aires, Shanghai, Ethiopia, Bulgaria and Tokyo.
