ISLAMABAD:

The government has awarded magisterial powers to the Capital Development Authority (CDA)’s estate officer to expedite the process of getting government residence vacated by illegal occupants.

Housing and Works Minister Muhammad Akram Khan Durrani on Tuesday said that legal and enforcement wings will also be established in the CDA estate office to vacate the stay orders against the civic agency. The minister directed the estate office to computerise its record and make allotments strictly according to the waiting list.
