Both convicts - Attaullah Arif Qasim and Muhammed Azim Arif Sharif were responsible for the murder of Dr Ali Raza in Karachi's Soldier Bazaar area in 2001.
They were sentenced to death in 2004 but remained in prison due to the six year moratorium on capital punishment which was lifted at the end of last year.
"They were hanged at 6:30 this morning and their bodies have been handed to their relatives," a prison official told AFP on condition of anonymity.

During the time of the executions, security in and around the prison was kept high.
Following the hanging, bodies of the two men were handed over to their respective families.
Twenty two prisoners have been hanged since the federal government lifted the moratorium on capital punishment in the wake of the Peshawar school attack.
